Never a dull moment

Dinner at my house goes a little something like this, "Jake stop goofing off and playing with your food", "Ava stop reading your book", "Ava eat your rice", "Jake finish your milk", "Okay, I'm being serious this time, you aren't going to get dessert if you don't eat your food!" < -- And it is then that the food quickly dissapears off of the plate! Goodness, there is definately no one that has to ask me to eat something twice!!  I love love love food, and I especially love food when its cooked on the grille!  There is nothing that screams summer more than the burgers, salmon, kabobs, corn, veggies, and wings with fresh grille marks on them!  But hey who said you couldn't grille when there is snow outside?!

i <3 wings, all kinds, all times of the years
  hot & spicy wings
 sweet honey wings

& and I completely and totally had seconds, maybe even thirds.  Lets face it, 3 wings is just not enough.
& as much as fruit is sweet and can be considered a dessert...
there is just something about cookies that is sooo much better!

Dont you think?!

  1. Of course! Nobody has to tell me to finish my food but if there was a rare case i didnt like something and i was told I wasn't going to be able to have dessert i would immediately shovel the remainder in my mouth!

  2. So I'm not the only mother out there who has to nag my children to quit getting up and eat their food? :) I understand that they never want to stop playing, I just wish they could figure out that if they hurried up and ate they could go play again faster...oh well. 3. I remember my parents always used to say "three more bites of your hot dog and you can have dessert" or "finish your chicken and you can play video games". It was always the meat, never the veggies!

I want those cookies in my belly.

  7. First of all..I LOVE EDAMAME ! second of all kids will learn how to eat but you can help them along the way as best you can..I think eventually it's how they naturally how THEY want to eat that will shape their ultimate eating habits.

  8. We sure don't have to tell my brother to eat! He will happily eat a large meal and dessert without thinking twice (of course, he is a teenager ;) Now if I only I could sneak some veggies in there.....
Those cookies look DElicious!! As does everything else (especially the edamame!)
