Because I do

I feel like I haven't blogged in FOREVER! This past week has been absolutely absurd with midterms! But the good news is, they are over, and I am home. And it was so sweet my family welcomed me home with flowers! Just kidding, I wish, but these were already there.
Although driving four hours in the car isn't extremely long, for me, being all alone, it drives me crazy! So the first thing I did when I got home was jumped into my running stuff and ran. After being cooped up for so long, I needed to run free like a mad woman.

So glad to have my running buddy (mom) back again! PS Don't be frightened if you see a person running wearing a mask on there face like me and my mom, even though we look like bad guys going to rob a bank, I promise we are friendly runners with cold faces : )
After I finished my run, the first thing I did was head to the kitchen of course! And in my house there are always bananas, but never this many... I thought my mom was hoarding baby monkeys somewhere.. But it just turns out she just wants [me] to make banana bread, my fav! I will post my 'healthy' banana bread recipe with pics when I make it, dont you worry!
After lunch at the MediterraneanCafe, my mom and I went to the pet shop next door! Needless to say I fell in love!  Would I look like a crazy runner girl if I bought a pig and trained it to become my running partner?.. Probably right?! I should just stick to dogs, like this cute chocolate lab! How sweet.
Although I am not going anywhere, being able to catch up on blogging, cooking, reading, yoga, and running is perfectly fine by me. I am easily pleased for a college student, to say the least. So for me the true joy of Spring Break = free time to not think. So while mindlessy catching up on reading Women's Running, I noticed the last page always has a quote from someone saying why they run, and I gave my own reason some thought...

Why I run..

It gives me, me time
I gives me the chance to not think about schoolwork and recollect my thoughts
I feel amazing afterwards
I can eat [almost] whatever my heart pleases (ie: I'm currently eating a vegan peanut butter chocolate cupcake)
I love the feeling of fresh air flowing through my body
& Because I just do. And I love it.

Why do you run/exercise?

  2. I exercise because it makes me feel so good - like I'm doing something really good for my body!

Yay that midterms are over for you!!! I still have mine next week :(

Those pigs are SO cute! (As is the little lab puppy) I don't think it would be crazy to have a pig as a running partner ;)

  5. I LOVE to run too. I'm not fast at all (like a turtle), but there is something very liberating in having my alone time to think while I am in constant motion.
The animal pictures are SOOOOO Cute!!!
