professional runner girl

once upon a time there was a happy little girl,
who loved to run.
not to stay in shape, but to stay sane
because while everyone was asking her questions she didn't have the answers to
the silence of the wooded trails brought her back to reality every time.
she didn't know what she wanted to be when she grew up
nor did she know where she wanted to work
or how much she was going to make for that matter,
but the reality is - none of it really matters,
unless you're happy, doing what you love.
and i do love to run.
\

i guess what im getting at is,
im dropping out of school to become a full time runner.
just kidding mom.

if you could have a full time job doing anything you wanted to do, what would you be doing?

it's okay to ...

order an extra ten dozen shirts for everyone and anyone, just because you designed them yourself

it's okay to ignore the serving size of only three dark chocolate dipped pretzels. the bag is small as is!

it's okay to volunteer to pick up trash first thing in the morning ... but not really want to do it

it's okay to leave the soccer game early to go home and watch Hocus Pocus

it's okay if you have over fifty bottles of nail polish but only use 1

it's okay if you bought a pair of shoes because they are beautiful but can not walk in them. shoeicide

it's okay to hyperventilate after booking a flight to Spain and realize there is no backing out for studying abroad and venturing to another country!

it's okay.
pinky promise.

Life is Beautiful. Notice it.

Sometimes you need to just slow down and enjoy what you have, right in front of you, right now.

Currently:
Enjoying life, soaking up fall, embracing every second it.

Fall Foliage

I adore fall.
The crunch of the leaves under your new caramel leather boots.
The thick knitted scarf wrapped around your neck to keep you warm, along with the pumpkin spice coffee in your hand.
The fact that everything everywhere offers pumpkin anything from coffee to lattes to muffins and bagels and even pumpkin nut butters!
Running through colorful trails throughout Pittsburgh.
Did I mention pumpkin everything?

Here are some of my favorites that will be getting me through this October:
[I just found this peanut butter at Trader Joe's yesterday and it is AMAZING, not only does it taste better than the normal peanut butter, but it is half the calories and 85% less fat! ... you know what that means...some for my bagel, and an extra spoon for me!]
My mom sent me a goody box from home.... of course she sent oreos, homemade shmo-made
Maxi skirts <3
Best halloween decor ever! miss you mama!

Favorite part about fall?
Any fall favorites I am missing??

Leave a message after the beep.

My blogging world has been put on hold for the following reasons:
1. Panther Strides has taken over my life and I am not complaining about it.  With over 280 people that signed up for my running club at Pitt, I have been plenty busy.  It must have been the Jolly Ranchers that swayed them all to sign up!
 2. Football Season
Pitt
Steelers
tailgating
Enough said

 3. Trader Joes is only 2 miles away. Foodie heaven <3
 4. This girl and our 3 hour dinner/Girl talk sessions
 completely normal
5. Work
As an account executive for the Pitt News, it is my job to sell 'space'.  While I may not have sold lots of 'space' I have received plenty of fro-yo, chocolate, discounts, massage gift certificates, and BROWNIES : )
small paycheck < free stuff
 6. Oh yea.. and I would say studying has kept me busy,
but that would be a lie.
I'll work on that one today.
After I go for a run...
 ; ) priorities here.
C'mon I have a race in two weeks!

More Pittsburgh updates to come this week!

Who is watching the Steelers today?!

it doesn't matter

It doesn't matter how many friends you have
But rather, who you have in your life that counts.

I happen to surround myself with lovely people, who send me special deliveries, such as these beautiufl roses.

It doesn't matter if you are 20 years old and would rather stay in and read a book, sip on some tea, and nibble on dark chocolate, than go out and party every night.
What matters is that you are doing what you love, for you.

It doesn't matter if you live at the top of a building near the helicopter landing deck...unless you're trying to fall asleep.
What matters most is that you enjoy the view and appreciate the fact that you will always have a special robot friend watching out for you throughout the night.

Enjoy what you have in front of you.  I know I am.

donuts > birthday cake

happy birthday to me
happy birthday to me
happy birthday dear Euniece
happy birthday to me

<3
Today is my life anniversary as my dear yogi friend put it in such a lovely way.  I am officially a twenty year old, where have the teen years gone?! And to make time fly even faster, I am already back at Pitt going into my junior year, getting into my routine, and am already finding cute little food shops on day one - with the help of my mom of course!!

Today while meandering around campus we stumbled upon this cute little shop - and with a name like 'Peace, Love and Little Donuts' I immediately had to go in.   It was the cutest donut shop I have ever seen; and I am not saying this because I am a donut lover, oh no, no no...because to be honest...
1. Donuts don't fill me up - so I never understood eating them for breakfast
2. & if I am going to eat a sweet dessert, there is no way I would ever choose a donut over a brownie, come on this is not even a fair contest!
So for me donuts have always been pretty mute in my life,  until today.
Trust me when I say, these donuts were good  incredible, they had sweet and savory, everything and anything to satisfy your cravings from smores, to apple pie, even maple bacon, you could even create your own!! I ended up going with the tree hugger granola and chocolate coconut!

While my 20th birthday wasn't filled with fireworks nor was there a Range Rover wrapped up in a red bow, none of that mattered - because for some reason, as you get older birthdays tend to revolve less around materialistic things and more around what really matters. I spent the day with my family, eating delish food, and enjoying the outdoors, and for me, that was plenty enough.
Now for the best year to come!
