Fact

what goes around comes back around - especially in fashion
fact: you can not hum if you  hold your nose closed
fact: i tried the above fact at work today and sounded like a frog
fact: the above automatically made me the coolest intern at work
fact: im the only intern at my company...
fact: i'm loving the seventies fall fashion vibe in Forever
fact: i broke my "i'm not spending money on clothes, and only spending money on memories and trips" rule, last week :(
fact: i'm not ashamed - it was totally worth it

if only my mother would have save all of her corduroy threads from her teen years..

fact: i'm only 5'2 - so I hear a pair of Platforms calling my name this fall : )

any suggestions where to get some cute ones?
what are you feeling for this fall?

All that matters...

I like homemade fresh strawberry margaritas.
They taste especially good while on vacation with no work the next day.
So since I was at the Lake House this weekend, I had one, or two.
If I had to choose between a lake house or a beach house, the decision would be a no brainer.
Lake House
-for the obvious reasons-
You can run through trails, without melting in the sun

Opening your eyes under water won't make you feel like your cornea is on fire
Clouds in the sky ruining your tanning exposure do not matter since you are way too busy tubing, jet skiing, kayaking etc.
Bonfires & Smores. Enough Said.
Bed  head is quickly fixed by a quick dip in the water
You can enjoy the crisp morning air of the forest around you when sipping your blueberry coffee in the morning
You won't run into any massive waves while Kayaking
You can ride the "Hot Dog" without a shark thinking you are a seal from below the water
But no matter where you are - lake or beach, what counts is who you are there with, because when you are there with the ones you love, that's all that matters.

btw blog loves, my post with waterfall pictures was at a place called Glen Onoko : )

beach or lake
Which do you prefer?

three new experiences

Summer seems to be flying by, I truly can't believe it is nearing the end of July!!
Only two and half more weeks until I am back at school, not boring with you my summer posts [sorry but when it comes to my internship and summer classes my posts can't get too interesting]

But some things I have experienced lately are:
-Zara-
I have been wanting to go here for so long and while meandering the street of Philadelphia I finally found one!

 -Trains-
I took my first train ever into Philly with my girls this past weekend, not quite like the Hogwarts train sad to say
-Sweating-
I am a runner, so I know what it is to sweat, but when it is 104 degrees out, I cant even explain to you how drenched we got walking ten blocks to Rittenhouse Square from Suburban Station with backpacks, pillows, and sleeping bags. Tourists much?? : ) But it didn't matter because everything is a million times better when you are with the ones you love, your friends.

can life always be this sweet?

i mean really, what is everyone else doing...

as Sam put it, who cares.

and really - when you are at a place like this
who does care?
there's simply no reason to have a care at all....

...until you come back to reality
& realize you have six hours of accounting homework to catch up on

oh well I can't complain too much ; )
i hope everyone had a beautiful weekend

by the way..
has anyone ever heard of the planking/lying down game?!
and what in the world is the point of this bizarre craze?

sweet shavasana

"I run to think... I practice yoga to stop"

some may think yoga is boring,
while others may find it weird to stand in a position called tree pose for five breaths
but for me yoga is about letting everything I know go and just focusing on one thing
my breathe
yoga isn't easy
but your practice is truly what you make of it
and overtime I have found that you are able to learn a lot about yourself throughout practicing
but most importantly, you learn to respect your body and appreciate it for what it can do
not to mention yoga bodies aren't bad to look at
--indeed, yoga does a body good--
namaste my blog loves

this week i ...

Ran through the lush green woods
Won a game or two of pong
its all in the wrist
Had a cookout with the best friends a girl could ask for
Made a delicious smore with banana and dark chocolate
 - in my oven!
You must try it, the banana seals the deal.
Lead a yoga class atop the mountain at sunset!
More pics to come : )
Refueled my body with an amazing outdoor bbq dinner - one of the many reasons why summer eating is my favorite!
[Mexican cheese was on the corn, which totally made it incredible, the Mexicans really know how to make cheese]
Ran a 5k in 95 degree weather & got bit about twenty thousand times all over my body!
awesome
I love when people realize they can do things the didn't think they could! Because as cliche as it sounds
you never know until you try.
This week was Ginny's first time running an entire 5k! So proud of my girl! and she didn't stop once : )

& now i am off to the lovely Phildelphia for more adventure <3
what was your favorite part of the week!?!?
any fun weekend adventures to come?
